Meet Dr. Donald Vanderfeltz

A native of Jefferson City, Donald Vanderfeltz O.D., F.A.A.O., has always dedicated himself to serving his community as a local eye expert. He is skilled in providing comprehensive exams, eye disease management, surgical co-management, myopia progression control, dry eye treatment and more for patients in our California office.

As an active member of his community, Dr. Vanderfeltz has held various leadership positions in the local Chamber of Commerce, Parks and Recreation, Area Economic Development Commission, Lions Club, California Progress, and Knights of Columbus. When he’s not practicing optometry or volunteering, Dr. Vanderfeltz enjoys spending time with his wife, four children, and ten grandchildren.

Education & Experience

Dr. Vanderfeltz attended Christian Brothers University before completing his optometry doctorate degree from the Illinois College of Optometry. As a certified Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry, Dr. Vanderfeltz has committed himself to lifelong learning in the field of optometry by familiarizing himself with the latest advancements and technology. He enjoys using his expertise and knowledge of ocular disease, refractive surgery management, pediatrics, geriatrics, contact lenses and specialty contacts to make clear, comfortable vision accessible to everyone.
