Cataract Surgery

The experienced team at Missouri Eye Consultants will help you see clearly after your cataract surgery with our selection of standard and premium artificial intraocular lenses (IOL).

What Are IOLs?

Cataracts are a clouding of the eye’s natural lens, which limits our vision and occurs as we age. While cataracts are manageable in their early stages with eyeglasses and contact lenses, the only way to completely restore your vision is through cataract surgery. During cataract surgery, a standard IOL is implanted into your eye and restores your vision, but you can enhance and improve your eyesight using toric and other premium IOL options.

What Can Premium IOLs Do for You?

A standard IOL can help you see clearly after cataract surgery, but if you’d like to restore your vision from cataracts and reduce your reliance on eyewear, a premium IOL is a great choice! Our team can help identify which premium IOL will work best for your vision needs from a variety of options.

Premium IOLs

Toric Lenses

Patients with astigmatism can often find it difficult to comfortably wear contact lenses or identify an IOL that matches their vision needs. Toric IOLs can correct astigmatism, reducing the likelihood that you will need to rely on additional eyewear to see clearly. These IOLs have multiple vision powers in a single lens, letting you see clearly at different distances.

Multifocal IOLs

These IOLs are an excellent all-around option for many of our patients, as multifocal IOLs can help you see clearly at both a distance and up close. By focusing your vision at specific parts of the lens, you can seamlessly and clearly see everything you need to, reducing your need for additional eyewear, like reading glasses.

Everyone is so friendly. I feel I had a great exam. Dr. Winston makes you feel like you are the only appointment he has. He takes his time and you do not feel rushed.

“Moberly Eye Center has great customer service. All the staff was patient with my son. He is very shy and struggles with anxiety. They were able to make him comfortable for the eye exam.”

“The thoroughness of the exam, the friendly but professional demeanor of the Doctor and staff, and the quality of the eyeglasses I received, give a top notch rating to the Moberly Eye Center in my opinion and experience. I most definitely will continue to use this service and highly recommend them to one and all. You will not find a better place to receive eye care!!”

“Dr. Liepins is beyond AMAZING! It’s evident that she’s very passionate about not only her job/work but her patients in general. Both my kiddos (ages 7 & 3) are at ease with her which speaks volumes for how well she does her job. Dr. Liepins is fabulous and everyone we’ve encountered in the office has been great. Without hesitation, I highly recommend Columbia Eye Consultants!”
